WHO WE ARE

Croatian Association for Franchise Licensing is a nonprofit nongovernmental association founded towards the end of 2002 with objectives to promote and advertise franchise licensing in Croatia, to group the franchiser companies comparing their feedback and to establish policies and standards for franchise licensing in Croatia.

OUR MISSION

Promotion and advertising of the franchise licensing in Croatia, protection of franchised businesses through the promotion of the European ethical code, education and associating of the industries.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Our mission is to promote and advertise the franchise licensing in Croatia, which is the very title of the project that marks our public activity. It is a substantial part of the overall promotion of entrepreneurship, which in itself propels the economic development of any country. In our public appearances we also underline that promotion of franchise licensing certainly greatly contributes to the efforts to reduce the unemployment.

It is our intention to focus the activities of the Association on the development of the franchise licensing at the local level, with the assistance of our specialized expert members, and also to elaborate localized projects and establish a continuous and efficient cooperation on the local level.

The summary of the past activities:

1. Promotion of the franchise licensing through participation on fairs and conferences in Milan, London, Ljubljana and Athens;
2. Continuous cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce, Labor and Entrepreneurship, the City of Zagreb, Economics missions in Italian, French and US Embassies, the Ministry of Defense and the Association of the Homeland War Volunteer Veterans;
3. Cooperation with the Franchise Entrepreneurship Centers in Zagreb and Osijek;
4. International cooperation with franchise associations abroad;
5. Participation on the 1st and 2nd International Fair of Franchise Businesses and Partnerships held under our auspices;
6. Organization of the 1st and 2nd International Conference on Franchise Businesses and Partnerships held during the Fair;
7. Established contacts with the European Franchise Federation aimed at obtaining the membership;
8. Publication of the "Guide to the Entrepreneurship" booklet, presented during the event in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on 17 March 2004, attended by distinguished guests and media;
9. Building a Web site;
10. Participation on workshops elaborating the project papers to access European Union funds for civil society development.
